Toys ‘R’ Us Kuching

Are you a fan of STAR WARS?  Are you into Barbie? Or, are you very into Ultraman, just like I was when I was 5?

Well, if YOU are in Kuching, be GLAD, because Toys “R” Us has a dedicated branch in Hills Shopping Mall, Kuching!

I should know because I was invited to attend the official opening of Kuching’s very fist dedicated Toys ‘R’ Us at the Hills Shopping Mall, Kuching. I was informed that there’s a small Toys ‘R’ Us outlet within Parkson in tHe Spring’s Mall, but its shared with Parkson, and this new outlet is so much bigger, and boast so many more toys.

I guess, Fahriee, Norman and I all felt like small kids once more as we scouted the new outlet for our favorite idols during our childhood years.  I think it was so obvious that we were not there for the opening, but rather for the toys as our face lighted up when ever we found a toy that was dear to our hearts.

The launch was simple, sweet and straight to the point.  I personally felt this was THE BEST Event launch I’ve ever attended. It started on time, and ended on a high note with everyone smiling.

Well, back to Toys ‘R’ Us.  The store itself boast of 7 main zones to cater for different age groups, with all groups having major brands of toys.  The boys section was out of this world as they had practically everything I always wanted when I was small, namely Ultraman, Transformers, LEGO and Star Wars!  Also found the old time famous ‘Play-Doh’ being stacked up at one corner.  At this point, I wished I was born 15 years later.

The girls section was equally fantastic with Barbie dolls heading the line of toy brands.  Also available is a complete set of dolls which could make up one complete family tea party.  Psychologically, it would be better to have your daughters play with dolls, then have a tea party with an imaginary friend.  Yes parents, no more imaginary friends when you have dolls to play with.  =)

I don’t know about you guys, but if you are looking for a certain type of toy, which hasn’t been found in Kuching for ages… try heading over to Toys ‘R’ Us within this 1 week (till 7 February 2010) because they are having a promotion in conjunction with their new outlet.  It goes by that you’d get a RM10 voucher for every RM150 spent, and you’d also enjoy TRIPLE (3x) Star points for your Star Card on your purchase (Normally it would be RM1=1 Star Point).  By the way, Toys ‘”R” Us Star Card is FREE, and you have all the reason to get it anyway.

There is also another deal which goes from 30th Jan – 22 Feb 2010 which sees the first 5o members spending RM100 on a single resit to get a FREE Exclusive t-shirt, while another first 200 members whom purchase RM50 and above would be given a FREE coloring book.

Seriously, I don’t know why you guys shouldn’t drop by Toys “R” Us because I fell in love with these guys the minute I saw them.

I know.. they’re so cute.. and they’d be traveling to Sg Buloh soon =)  A cute gift for a cute gal.

I don’t have much toys when I was little. I did not ask for things. we had to be creative with whatever we had. kids nowadays are very lucky!

Yes. Kids nowadays are very lucky. I guess that’s why we old timers were sort of ’sakai’ at Toys R Us.
