Cyril,I feel the same when individual makes generalization.More so if the assumption or the generalisation is “negative”.Hani’s blatant assumption is morally unaccepted.Whether we like or not that’s it.Life is like that.Don’t be too upset that we forget our rasionale.Sarawakians are tolerant.This Hani’s episode should open our eyes.Do we care what’s going on in our entertainment outlets?See for ourselves.Saya juga seorang ayah kpd dua anak perempuan.I do not want them to be treated or called “cheap Borneo girls”.

To state that the Dayaks are uncivilized is not true and a wrong statement.After working for 5 yrs in Sarawak,I found that most of my friends were helpful and friendly.I have been to Batang Ai area back in 1985,when the hydroelectric dam was just comissioned and I have never seen anyone wearing loinclothes(cawat) there.Forgive our peninsula brethrens for having a misconception as most of them have never been to Sarawak.On the whole, Sarawak is a peaceful place and needs more funds for its development e.g roads,schools and other infrastructure.As a net oil producer,it should be given its dues.The rights of the people of Sarawak ,should be protected,as been laid down in cardinal principles of the rule by the last Rajah.These principles wre laid down,before Sarawak was made a Crown Colony.

my fren ask me what do i mean by civilized Dayak (Iban) as what i put in my comment, well i reflected the YB won in Batang Ai election last year, coz he contested against uncivilized Dayak also iban, i dun want other Dayak to think that only Iban is the civilized Dayak, I didn’t mean that, the uncivilized is the other losing contestant who also an Iban. All Dayak are all civilized, penisular people didn’t know what happening here, luckily we didn’t live on the tree (like what they think as uncivilized) anymore, if not, we will lift to go up and down the tree.

wow this is interesting to know, another thing defacing sarawak people, last time PAS leader said people in Batang Ai still wear “cawat” (I’m living with people in Batang Ai and they’re all civilized, the proof, they know which politicians to choose, they choose civilized Dayak (Iban)) now this. The term Borneo girls are cheap that’s include my sisters and my mum, she hate other people but she generalized it which make what she said is wrong, if she really brave then mention the name of girl who kacau his laki, don’t generalized. What a such uncivilized thinking she had.

Man, i like the way u write this, i do agree we should not fight back, we’re just expressing our thought.

Just ignore them for there are many “katak di bawah tempurung ppl” in the west. I remember our politicians from west M used to say that we should not follow the derogating western culture, ibarat meludah ke langit, terkena batang hidung sendiri.

That’s just the mind set of “some” people from peninsular. It’s like Sarawakian and Sabahan are in a “lower” level than them..We gonna show them that WE are equal XD (maybe better)
