It was my youngest sister’s birthday, and dad asked all of us to come home for a simple barbecue with my closest relatives, which would be none other than my uncle Ng.
If I were to talk about history between our two families, one night wouldn’t be enough… but suffice to say, after so long.. we remain still close together, despite well.. most of us already having our very own lives to run. Things do get complicated when you are older, and like all adults, we adapt and make the best of it.
Well, I won’t want to talk much about how my mum, my dad, my sisters, my cuz and myself actually bursting into laughter midway the grace, although it was actually hilarious at some point. Felt bad that I laughed, but I just couldn’t stand it. I hope God doesn’t condemn me to hell for laughing during grace =P
Anyway, the birthday barbecue was simple, with tonnes of left-overs. I ate as much as I could, but there was still so much left. I wonder when a barbecue like this could be done again because it does seem that it is getting harder to gather us all together. I guess, this is the part where being a grown-up sucks. You have to put your priorities right, and start thinking about yourself and do the ’survival of the fittest’ thing. When we were children, I swear I wasn’t worried about money, finding free time and other huge things. Now, it’s totally different, and as I say.. we have to adapt.
Today, I’ll be going for some leech therapy as recommended by Ash Avena, and I’m crossing my fingers that it won’t hurt as much as I think it would… Err, just felt like updating my post today, so I hope you don’t mind the total random update.
